What Kind of Head Table Would You Like?
Good Morning CRW Family,
I’ve recently had a lengthy discussion about head tables at weddings and what’s the differences in them. Well, it’s a lot of options but I’ll cover the basic options in this blog. I hope this helps! 💜
Traditional Table: includes the Bride, Groom and Wedding Party. Standard layout of rectangle tables in a straight line facing their guests. Floor layout for this can also be exchanged with a variety of shapes like “V”, “C”, “Pi” or “X”.
King’s Table: also referred as the King Arthur’s Table. includes the Bride, Groom and Wedding Party . However, Layout would include the Bride and Groom positioned at the higher tier either paired or with Best Man “BM” or Maid of Honor “MOH” with the remaining party in a lower row of tables facing their guests. Another variant: Harvest Table which includes the Wedding Party’s Significant others.
Sweetheart Table: Just the Bride & Groom at a smaller table facing their guests. Some couples use a round table in their layout. Very Popular in the Covid Season.
Family Table: least common; includes the Bride & Groom and their immediate family. Layout would be similar to traditional; in a row of tables facing their guests. Another practice is where the tables face each other with the couple at one head of the tables and their parents at the other.
Who should we seat with us? The answer is Easy! Your head table should seat whomever you would like to be seated with you. Wedding party, family, no one. Right now, during the Covid pandemic, most couples are opting for the Sweet Heart Table option for the best social distancing practices, but traditional layout with your wedding party is the most common.
